To achieve an overall total of 144 credit points candidates must complete:
If candidates have complete a Minor - a further 120 credit points comprising 12 credit points of Core Units; and a Major of 48-60 credit points; and Elective Units of 48-60 credit points.
If candidates have completed a Major - a further 96 credit points comprising 12 credit points of Core Units; and a Minor of 24 credit points; and Elective Units of 60 credit points.
If candidates have completed an Extended Major - a further 72 credit points comprising 12 credit points of Core Units; and Elective Units of 60 credit points.
Elective Units can be selected from any unit offered by the University subject to candidates meeting overall course requirements and prerequisite and timetabling requirements for individual units.

Note for students contemplating studying Honours in Archaeology:
The entry requirements for the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Archaeology is a GPA of 5.5 (Credit) or better in all units completed in an undergraduate degree; or a Credit average across 300-level units in Archaeology, is required. In addition, a candidate for Archaeology honours in the Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree shall have passed 60 credit points in Archaeology, including ARPA300.
