Course Plans for Bachelor of Social Work

Full-Time Course Plan

The following are suggested patterns of enrolment or pathways for candidates studying on a full-time or part-time basis. They take into account unit pre-requisite, co-requisite and timetabling requirements. Candidates can each year choose to study less than the full-time pattern or more units than the part-time pattern, but if doing so should use these suggested patterns as guides as to how best structure their studies.

A six credit point unit is estimated to require a total workload of approximately 150 hours per unit (this means about 12 to 15 hours per week per unit).

These students are usually encouraged to take HSSW402H:18 in T3 Year 3 of their studies to enable commencement of data collection. HSSW411:18 must be taken in one teaching period. Students may undertake units in Trimester 3 subject to availability. Honours students do not do HSSW412 or have a Listed Unit choice.
