Full-Time Course Plan

The following are suggested patterns of enrolment or pathways for candidates studying on a full-time or part-time basis. They take into account unit pre-requisite, co-requisite and timetabling requirements. Candidates can each year choose to study less units than the full-time pattern or more units than the part-time pattern, but if doing so should use these suggested patterns as guides as to how best structure their studies.

For candidates undertaking ONE Major

A six credit point unit is estimated to require a total workload of approximately 150 hours per unit (this means about 12 to 15 hours per week per unit).

For candidates commencing in Trimester 3

Notes: Candidates must complete: (i) not more than 60 credit points at 100-level; and (ii) at least 36 credit points at 300/400-level, excluding OSLS391 and OSLS392. The combination of Listed Units for a Language Major and Elective Units in Yrs 3 and 5 can be varied depending on unit availability. Candidates could also undertake OSLS391 and OSLS392 in Year 5 and take the suggested Year 5 units in Year 4.
